Private vehicle finance lets you buy a vehicle from a private seller — not a dealership — and pay it off monthly through a bank. It works like normal vehicle finance. The agreement is in your name, and your instalments go directly to the bank.
Buying privately usually means sorting out the checks and paperwork yourself. With us, you don't. We handle the application, the vehicle checks and the paperwork between you, the seller and the bank.
Already own your vehicle and want to release cash from it? That is a different product — see paid-off vehicle refinance.
Four steps from finding the vehicle to driving it home.
1
Send us your application and documents. We submit your finance application to the banks for you.
2
We check that the vehicle is not stolen, cloned or flagged for crime. We also confirm whether it is still under finance. The vehicle must pass a Dekra roadworthy test.
3
You sign the bank's finance agreement. If the seller still owes money on the vehicle, we do our due diligence before it is settled.
4
We finalise the paperwork between you, the seller and the bank. Then you drive away.

Buying privately means the seller has a part to play. Here is what we need.
